> Dangote Refinery To Buy 24m Barrels Of Crude From US The call for US oil reflects Nigeria’s struggle to lift its own crude production. The Dangote Refinery was commissioned last month. Dangote Refinery has revealed plans to buy at least 24 million barrels of US crude over the next year as it ramps up its processing capabilities. A report by Bloomberg revealed that the $20bn refinery has issued a term tender for the purchase of 2 million barrels a month of West Texas Intermediate Midland (WTI) crude for 12 months starting in July, which amounts to 24 million barrels of crude in one year. The call for US oil reflects Nigeria’s struggle to lift its own crude production, which remains well below theoretical capacity, as well as Dangote’s willingness to tap cheaper supplies than it can find at home.  Evans Re-Arraignment For Murder Stalled, Defendants Opts For Plea Bargain Evans and his co-defendant, Joseph Emeka are facing an amended 5-count charge of murder, attempt to kidnap and conspiracy. The scheduled arraignment of convicted kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike popularly known as Evans, failed to go on Thursday at the Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, owing to the absence of his counsel. Trial judge, Justice Adenike Coker subsequently adjourned till June 13 for the planned arraignment. Evans and his co-defendant, Joseph Emeka are facing an amended 5-count charge of murder, attempt to kidnap and conspiracy. They allegedly killed one Peter Nweke on Aug 27, 2013, along Third Avenue, Festac Town, Lagos State. A Lawsuit challenging the legality of the election of TINUBU over age falsification and dual citizenship has been dismissed by the court

naijaeverynews.blogspot.com A lawsuit filed by three individuals seeking to stop the inauguration of President-elect, Bola Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima over an alleged age falsification and citizenship status in the document submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, has been dismissed by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.  Justice James Omotosho who presided over the lawsuit filed by Praise Ilemona Isaiah, Pastor Paul Isaac Audu and Anongu Moses, ruled on Friday, May 26, that it was frivolous and an abuse of court process. Omotosho held that the plaintiffs lacked the locus standi to file the suit, adding that the court could not exercise jurisdiction to hear it because it relates to a presidential election.   A  Student at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, Samuel Adegoke has reportedly committed suicide after losing his tuition fee and that of his friend to gambling . It was gathered that  Adegoke took his life by drinking a chemical substance suspected to be sniper. Adegoke, who was a National Diploma II student of Electrical Electronic Engineering, reportedly committed suicide on Monday, May 2, when his colleagues were preparing for the first semester exam. It was gathered that  the deceased allegedly used his school fee to play an online betting on Friday May 19, which he lost . He was reportedly rushed to the school clinic from where he was later referred to a specialist hospital outside the school in Ilaro before he was pronounced dead.
